From the moment I arrived in the Netherlands I have been super active in connecting the Syrian and the Dutch communities together. I.e. I started the Syrian culture and community centre in Rotterdam and I worked as the face of the movement hotel in Amsterdam. This inspired me to start Hoop Hotel.
We create a sustainable hotel, where we empower newcomers in the Netherlands. Through job training we give them an opportunity for a new beginning. We create a place where different cultures merge together. We let guests feel this, together with the hospitality that is deeply crafted in our hearts.

We offer tourists a place to stay while learning about the multicultural background of the city, through the different cultural backgrounds of the employees of the hotel. During their stay they will get the unique chance to enjoy hospitality and cultural habits from places all over the world
Our hotel will be a sustainable option for tourists to stay. We will create a (rooftop) garden with our own vegetables and herbs. All our other food will be locally and organically bought. As much as possible we will make use the circulair economy of our city.
In our hotel newcomers will get the opportunity to develop their work experience and follow an educational program in the hospitality branche. With the help of their Dutch colleagues they will find their way in the Netherlands. Loneliness is reduces and interaction between cultures enhanced
